The Shires, Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle
The new housing development called The Shires on Thwaites Road in Oswaldtwistle has got a number of affordable 3 bed room houses for sale at a discounted rate for qualifying households.
The Council is working in partnership with Persimmon Homes to market these.
Qualifying households will be able to buy 100% freehold of the property at a discounted price. This type of tenure is known as Discounted Sale Housing.
The qualifying criteria includes the following:-
• The applicant cannot afford to purchase housing at the full market value
• The applicant must have a local connection to Hyndburn Borough Council
• The applicant must be in need of affordable housing and not currently owning a property
• The applicant will occupy the property as their only home
