Brain Health Breakthrough CIC celebrates after receiving £95,000 over three years in National Lottery funding
Brain Health Breakthrough CIC Long Covid project based in Hyndburn and Darwen is celebrating after being awarded £95,000 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK.
Brain Health Breakthrough CIC will use their funding to provide support for people with long COVID and their families for three years.
This new National Lottery funding will support local people and their families who have been affected by long COVID with peer support groups, family support and peer support training with more provision starting in the new year.
National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes a share of this to projects to support people and communities to prosper and thrive.

We are looking froward to bringing more awareness about long COVID This will make a big difference to people’s lives.”
During the pandemic, in 2020 alone, The National Lottery Community Fund distributed almost £1 billion to charities and community organisations across the UK.
