Encouraging Wildlife in Your Outdoor Space

Leaving some areas in the garden or yard more natural than others will provide a haven for wildlife. Longer grass, shrubs and trees will all provide a home for an array of creatures. To improve the diversity of fauna in your garden consider creating different habitats such as an area of long grass, an area of shrubs, an area where water is allowed to settle, such as a pond. Any standing water in the garden will encourage wildlife including frogs and newts. Leaving an old log or branch in your garden will provide yet another habitat.
