Will an Application be Decided by the Planning Committee?

The majority of planning applications are dealt with by planning officers under the Council’s Delegated Power arrangements; however, some applications are decided by a meeting of the Planning Committee. Applicants or their Agent will be informed by the planning officer if the application is going to be decided by the Planning Committee.

To see if an application is going to the Planning Committee check the agenda for the next meeting date using this link to Planning Committee meeting timetable.  If there is no agenda next to the meeting date it has not yet been published so please check again nearer the date. The agenda is normally published in the week before the meeting.

You can check with Member Services if an application is going to Planning Committee by e-mailing memberservices@hyndburnbc.gov.uk.

For speaking arrangements at Planning Committee meetings follow this internal link to the Comment on a Planning Application pages.
