Green Homes Grant Scheme
The Green Homes Grant Scheme is the new Government initiative which will be made available to homeowners in England to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes. Homeowners will be able to apply for vouchers worth up to two-thirds of the cost of hiring tradespeople to install energy saving measures. The maximum contribution will be £5,000, or for those on lower incomes, a 100% grant up to £10,000 will be available for certain work. Customers can apply direct for these grants. The window for applications opens on the 1st October and more information on how to apply for the voucher will be available on the GOV.UK website in due course.
