The Local Development Framework (LDF) is the name given to a series of documents in which the Council will explain how the borough will be developed and grow over several years.

The LDF also will show how some land is allocated for specific uses e.g. green belt, housing etc. All of the documents in the LDF must be made available for consultation.

The LDF forms part of the overall aims and future development for the borough which is called the Core Strategy.
