How to Submit a Search
Solicitors can submit Local Land Charges searches to Hyndburn Borough Council by post or electronically.
There are full instructions on the Local Land Charge Search forms and the solicitor should check that the property or land is within the Hyndburn area. Both the LLC1, CON29R and CON29O forms should be submitted at the same time if answers to both are required. They should provide an accurate location plan with the boundary clearly edged in red.
Any cheque sent with the search must be the solicitor’s company cheque not the client’s. Cheques should be made payable to Hyndburn Borough Council.

Hyndburn Borough Council is able to accept searches electronically through the National Land Information Service Hub (NLIS) or TM Search Choice Ltd. Please note we are unable to return searches electronically.
Hyndburn Borough Council is also able to accept searches electronically through TM Search Choice Ltd although again we are unable to return searches electronically.
