Children’s Artwork Transformed into Accrington Town Square Boards
Following a series of workshops where children were invited to Haworth Art Gallery, Hyndburn Council are pleased to share that the fantastic artwork produced is now well underway to being digitised.

As part of the new ‘Leader’s Budget’ for 2023/24, £1,000 has been granted by Hyndburn Council to St Andrew’s Primary School in Oswaldtwistle, to help with the expense of their annual nativity play.

Haworth Art Gallery are inviting everyone to take part in a fundraising Christmas craft workshop on Saturday 16 December 2023 to support the gallery and local community group, Growing Wild. The day will see attendees take part in Christmas decoration-making session, as well as a Christmas fairy fungi and fair house decoration workshop.

“I am delighted to announce that starting in January our Accrington Market Hall Traders will have a 3-month break in rent, with no charges due, and following this there will be a reduction on their usual rate for the remainder of their time in the temporary locations.
“The renovation of Accrington Market Hall is on track for completion in Spring 2025 and I know that until then everyone will join me in shopping locally and supporting all the traders and other businesses Hyndburn has to offer…
