The iconic band stand in Oak Hill Park, Accrington, is available to hire for FREE from Hyndburn Council for events or gigs.

Spaces like the Bandstand have always been well-loved by the local community however, bookings for its use have reduced since the pandemic with just a handful of uses in several years.

Set against the backdrop of the award-winning green flag park, Oak Hill Bandstand is managed and maintained by Hyndburn Council and ideal for community-led performances. Hyndburn Council are welcoming all event organisers to apply to hire the bandstand when planning local activity.

Cllr Steven Smithson, Portfolio Holder for Parks, said:

“So many fantastic local events and performances have been held at Oak Hill over the years and it would be a real pleasure to hear the park fill up with music and performances more frequently.

“Since the pandemic the use of council outdoor spaces for events has declined, we hope this reminder of it being available will inspire organisers to host their future activity in such a beautiful setting.”

Events add colour, variety and character to the Borough, helping to bring the community together. From large-scale events such as festivals, to a small group of performers taking to the stage, all applications are welcome.
