Community Groups Supporting the Park

 

The park has a number of support groups associated with it, these include:

 

Woodnook Residents Community Association

This group supports many community projects within the Woodnook area and beyond, they have been involved in conservation in the park often working closely with Woodnook Primary School. Recent projects include the planting of trees with the local school and the putting up of bird boxes and hedgehog boxes within the park.

 

Incredible Edibles Accrington

A local community food growing project exists in Oak Hill Park based close to the centre of the park near the play area, service buildings and duck pond.

 

Prospects Foundation

The Prospects Foundation have a tool room within Oak Hill Park and run a number of events within the park though out the year.
