All local residents, landlords, local businesses and any other organisation with an interest in the area were advised of a 12 week consultation period from 23 January 2017 – 17 April 2017.

The Council’s Cabinet has now considered a revised designation proposal and a decision has been made to introduce selective licensing of private landlords within parts of Accrington and Church which will come into effect from the 5 March 2018.
