How the Parks Have Developed
Improvement projects in the borough’s parks are never carried out in isolation.
Improvements may result from local requests or funding becoming available from Government initiatives such as improving people’s health, improving deprived areas or improving children’s lives.
Parks Management Plans
Each park has a management plan which is reviewed each year and ensures that a shared vision exists for the park’s future. This document is reviewed by interested members of the community and local groups to ensure that the vision set out in the management plan responds to local people’s needs.
Local groups, working closely with a dedicated parks team within the Council, have also been successful in helping to secure money to help improve their local park a list of improvement projects carried out is available here.
