Woodnook Regeneration

A joint venture between PlaceFirst and Together Housing Group was appointed as the Council’s Lead Developer Partner for Woodnook on 11 January 2012.  Since then, the Council has secured £3.8 million Empty Homes Funding that will be matched pound for pound by the private sector.

Working together we are looking at a whole neighbourhood approach to bring back into use over 200 empty properties in the area with a total investment in the neighbourhood estimated at over £15 million.

Work will take a variety of formats and will be carried out within different phases and by a variety of contractors.  Neighbourhood management has also been reinstated within the area to help co-ordinate services.

The regeneration proposals include the major refurbishment of empty properties, selective demolition to create open space, facelifting and environmental enhancements.

If you would like to register your interest in renting one of the newly refurbished properties, you can do this at  http://www.placefirst.co.uk/developments/woodnook/ or alternatively in one of the following ways:-
